Frequently asked questions
Can I change plans later?
Yes. Plans are a per-tenant setting — upgrading or downgrading does not require re-registering services or re-issuing keys.
What counts as an API call?
Every request that reaches the gateway data plane under /api/* is metered against the key that made it, whether it is proxied, rate limited, or rejected.
Do my API consumers need a paid account?
No. Consumers sign up in the developer portal for free; plans apply to the tenant that operates the gateway.
Is there a trial of Standard or Enterprise?
The Free plan is the trial — it runs the same gateway. When you need advanced security, resilience, or compliance features, upgrade in place.
